Jonathan CaronGraduated with an audiovisual BTS in 2007, he works as a camera operator on various institutional films and TV magazines (The earth seen from the sky it continues, Special Envoy) or as a Journalist and Image Reporter (iTélé/Canal +). In 2012 he trained as a 1st Camera Assistant at Louis Lumière and worked on several commercials and short films.
In 2014 he worked on screenwriting, and participated in Christopher Vogler's writing master class. Jonathan's first text was short-listed in the screenplay section of the Brives Medium Film Festival in 2014, then his feature film screenplay, entitled "The Blood of the Martyrs", allowed him to be selected for the youth meetings screenwriters from the House of Screenwriters during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
Then, he shot several documentaries with Serge Moati and Nicolas Combalbert as cinematographer or co-director, broadcast on France Télévisions, LCP or Public Sénat
In 2020, he was selected to follow the FEMIS Documentary Workshop. From there, he focused on documentary writing, and worked on his first feature-length creative documentary “Paysans Particuliers”.
In 2021, he adapted a first short fiction, La Chasse Au Sanglier, with which he wishes to practice directing. Then, he directed a documentary web series around the career competition, WorldSkills, which was a public success on YouTube, and was continued for 3 seasons.
At the same time, he continues to work on several other documentaries and audiovisual programs, always with Serge Moati, and is developing 2 long documentary projects as an author.
In 2024 he won the Draft of a Dream grant from SCAM for “Olympic Dogs”, his second documentary in development. And his first short fiction film “La Chasse Au Sanglier” begins its life in festivals.
